Places I have Worked: Director of Special Events and Alum Coordinator at Lourdes High School for the past nine years!
Wonderful experiences working with hundreds of volunteers, most of them parents in our Unified Catholic School system, and many of them graduates of Lourdes. My favorite jobs have been organizing the annual Alumni Basketball Tournament, the Alumni Memorial Mass, and the Outstanding Alum Award. Ask Paul and Amy (Heinbigner) Kraemer about that last one - they are the present Outstanding Alum! Also organize the annual USC Food Faire and the Lourdes Dinner Auction. Best of all, I track all of YOU as you move all over the place for our Lourdes alumni database. Want to make sure you get all LHS newsletters and appeals!
Places I have Traveled: Most travel has been close to home - following the sporting events of our children while at Lourdes and with Bob as he coached basketball here at Lourdes, assisting with boys varsity for about 15 years and now as girls head coach for the past 4 years. Also many trips to take our girls to and from college! Had the opportunity (as a 25th anniversary gift from our children and parents) to visit my parents in Florida two years ago. First and only plane trip!
About My Family: Husband Bob, Class of '67, and I were married in 1972. Bob teaches at Carl Traeger Middle School and coaches basketball at Lourdes. Twins, Lynne and Leanne are now both in third year graduate school. Lynne graduated from Marquette and is studying phsycology at Miami of Ohio and will be at Notre Dame for her last year this fall. Leanne graduated from St. Norbert and now is studying Interpersonal Communication at Madison, where she and her husband David live. Third daugther Kelly will graduate from Marquette this month and will be working in Madison as an accountant next fall. Kristi is a freshman at St. Norbert, Barbie is a senior at Lourdes and will be going to Marquette next year, and Jimmy is a freshman at Lourdes. Whew! I never wrote that down before! No wonder we haven't travelled much!
Future Plans: Our family becomes more and more interesting all the time. The older they get the more I enjoy them. I guess I really am a wife and mother first of all and hope to be enjoying an extended family in 10 years.
Are you attending the 50th BD Bash? I hope so!
The person I most want to see at the 50th Birthday Bash is: I want EVERYONE to be there!
Response to Westend Pizza Get Together: Really enjoy all of your notes! Thanks for the work you have done for our class. May you be blessed in every special way this Christmas season. Sue
